Solid infrastructure is mission-critical when running blockchain nodes at scale. At Everstake, we validate dozens of networks and know firsthand how much depends on performance, uptime, and flexibility, especially with networks like Solana, where high throughput and fast block times leave little room for error.
That’s why we teamed up with Cherry Servers, a cloud infrastructure provider that understands what developers and node operators really need. Their bare metal servers are powerful, customizable, and easy to work with.
This post shares how we use Cherry Servers for our Solana infrastructure, what makes them different from other providers, and why we’re excited about this partnership.
Who Are Cherry Servers?
Cherry Servers is a European cloud provider that delivers high-performance bare metal and virtual servers. Founded in 2001, the company focuses on privacy, transparency, and developer control. It empowers users to build custom infrastructure without vendor lock-in or hidden costs.
Cherry Servers’ fully customizable hardware, open approach, and developer-first mindset set it apart. Its platform supports automation tools like Terraform and Ansible, offers a clear pricing model, and includes 24/7 technical support, making it a reliable choice for teams running demanding workloads like blockchain nodes or AI models.
First Steps of Partnership
Our collaboration with Cherry Servers officially began in June 2024 and has steadily grown ever since. From the beginning, their team showed a high level of engagement, providing access to test hardware and supporting us through each deployment stage.
As we expand our validator infrastructure, Cherry Servers remains a key partner. We’re currently preparing to test additional configurations on their next-generation servers, which may further improve our performance on networks like Solana.
One of the first machines we tested was this Gen4 Solana server, featuring a processor we hadn’t previously used. This allowed us to explore new configurations in a real-world setting.
Looking ahead, we plan to share more technical insights with the community, including a detailed guide on How to Choose Node for Solana using Cherry Servers’ infrastructure. We believe Cherry Servers is well worth considering for node operators and developers seeking a flexible, no-nonsense cloud platform.
Why We Chose Cherry Servers
When choosing infrastructure for Solana nodes, we needed more than just raw power — we looked for reliability, flexibility, and a team that understands the needs of blockchain validators, and Cherry Servers met these criteria from the start. We prioritized:
- Consistent performance
Their bare metal servers deliver the stability required for Solana’s high-throughput environment. - Hardware flexibility
Cherry Servers allows full customization of server configurations — including CPU, memory, and storage — so we can fine-tune infrastructure to our needs. - Transparent pricing
No hidden costs or complex billing models. Clear terms make long-term planning easier. - Hands-on testing
We were able to test hardware before scaling, helping us identify the best setup and avoid unnecessary risks. - Responsive support
Their technical team was quick to assist and well-versed in the challenges node operators face.
This has made Cherry Servers a valuable partner in building our infrastructure — not just a provider, but a platform we trust to help us scale efficiently.
How We Use Cherry Servers for Solana
At Everstake, we use Cherry Servers to host Solana validator nodes — a workload that requires low-latency networking, stable hardware performance, and full system control. Bare metal infrastructure is essential here, as virtualized environments often introduce unpredictability that’s unacceptable in production.
One of the first servers we tested from Cherry Servers featured a processor we hadn’t previously used in our Solana setup. The flexibility to experiment with different configurations allowed us to fine-tune performance before expanding further. Since then, we’ve gradually scaled our use of their infrastructure as we confirmed its stability and responsiveness under real-world conditions.
Their user-friendly dashboard and support for automation tools have also made server management more efficient, helping our DevOps team deploy and monitor nodes faster.
Whether it’s testing new hardware or deploying production-ready infrastructure, Cherry Servers has proven to be a valuable part of our Solana operations.
Final Thoughts
Reliable infrastructure is the backbone of everything we do as a validator. Our partnership with Cherry Servers helps us meet the performance demands of networks like Solana, while giving us the flexibility to adapt and grow. As we continue scaling and exploring new configurations, we’re glad to have Cherry Servers as a trusted partner along the way.
