Blockchain Overview
Kaia is a highly optimized, BFT-based public blockchain designed to meet enterprise-grade reliability and performance standards. It was formed by the merger of the Finschia blockchain, based on the LINE Blockchain initiated by the global messaging company LINE in 2018, and the Klaytn blockchain, established in 2019 on the foundation of Kakao, South Korea's leading software company. Kaia aims to become Asia's #1 blockchain and lead the adoption of Web3 by providing a reliable infrastructure for projects of all sizes.

faq
What is Kaia (ex Klaytn)?
+Kaia is a Layer 1 blockchain based on EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) with scalability, convenience, and reliability as top priorities. It has the lowest transaction latency amongst leading EVM L1s with a 1-second block time and immediate finality, enabling snappy user experiences and opening possibilities for use cases that require near-real-time responsiveness. Support for account abstraction, gas fee delegation, and integration with the LINE and Kakaotalk messenger apps massively simplifies the user onboarding and usage experience and gives Kaia builders instant access to over 250 million users. EVM equivalence, planned support for CosmWasm, and integration with industry-leading cross-chain bridges give developers extensive flexibility and users a borderless ecosystem that embraces all of Web3.
