Staking Solana (SOL) is a great way to get rewards while supporting the blockchain’s decentralization. This guide will walk you through the process of staking SOL using Gem Wallet. It will cover everything you need to know, from setting up your wallet to managing your stake.

What Do You Need to Know About Solana?

Solana is a blockchain designed to offer unparalleled speed and scalability. Thanks to its unique consensus mechanism, Proof-of-History (PoH), combined with Proof-of-Stake (PoS), Solana processes up to 65,000 transactions per second (TPS). Its robust architecture ensures the network remains secure and decentralized, fostering a thriving ecosystem of projects and services.

SOL is the native cryptocurrency of the Solana network, serving several functions. It is used to pay for transaction fees and interact with dApps. Staking SOL allows token holders to get rewards while actively supporting the blockchain’s security.
