Polygon (POL, MATIC) Staking: Calculator, Yield & APY | Everstake

MATIC has officially been upgraded to POL as the native token for Polygon. POL now powers the Polygon PoS network, serving as the gas and staking token. Every transaction on the network is secured and fueled by POL.

Absolutely. Delegating your tokens to Everstake is entirely safe. When you delegate, you don't transfer ownership to any other party or send your tokens to someone else. Your tokens always remain under your control and are accessible to you at any time.

Connecting your wallet doesn't involve sending transactions; it simply provides the website with your wallet's public address and enables the website to request actions from your wallet. You, as a user, must manually approve these actions.

All staking transactions of POL happen on Ethereum for security reasons. The time it takes for a transaction to complete depends on the gas fees that you have allowed and also the network congestion of Ethereum mainnet at that point in time. You can always use the Speed Up option to increase the gas fees so that your transaction can be completed soon.

Binance.US customers can buy, sell, and stake POL directly on the platform, but you should be aware of the risks associated with staking from centralized platforms. 

The main risk is your safety, because centralized exchangers are custodial. This means they own your private keys for you, and you have no way of knowing how safe your funds are or exactly how they are being used. Also, there is always the risk of hacks and exploits, as well as increasing the level of centralization of the network, which is very harmful to its health.

Once you have done your delegation, wait for 12 block confirmations on Ethereum (~3-5 minutes) for the transaction to be confirmed. After that, your delegation will be displayed in the My Account section, which can be found in the upper left corner of the Polygon Staking Dashboard.

Your rewards will also appear in the My Account section, which can be found in the upper left corner of the Polygon Staking Dashboard.

No, already received rewards will need to be restaked manually if necessary. To do this, find the Restake option in the My Account section.

You can also claim your rewards in the My Account section. All your active delegations will be displayed there, and by clicking Withdraw Rewards on any of them, the reward will be transferred to the address from which the delegation was made.

You will need to accumulate a minimum of 2 POL to claim rewards. If you have accumulated enough rewards, but you still can't withdraw - please contact the official Polygon Discord for help.

No, all your funds need to be on the Ethereum Network.

You are not giving away ownership of POL by delegating. As a validator, Everstake will never have the ability to move your tokens.

No. Once you unstake, you stop receiving rewards.

Unbonding can be also done in the My Account section. There you will see an Unstake button for each of the active delegations.
