Everstake, a prominent validator servicing over 900,000 users in 80+ blockchains, is now offering RPC (Remote Procedure Call) services to Scroll through the Decentralized Infrastructure Network (DIN), an initiative led by Infura.

Everstake’s involvement in RPC services for Scroll will boost the Scroll network's stability, resilience, and decentralization. In particular, Everstake’s RPC node processes up to 1.5k RPS aggregated across all methods with sustained sub-100ms p(95) latency, which does not exceed 300 ms p(95) latency for all methods measured for the US-East direction.

With Scroll’s aim to deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions for Ethereum with its zk-EVM-based L2 technology, the need for a reliable RPC service is crucial. Everstake is happy to offer its battle-tested equipment and expertise as part of the broader DIN initiative devised by Infura to ensure that Scroll can rely on highly reliable RPC endpoints capable of handling peak traffic and noticeably reducing latency for dApps built on Scroll.

What Is DIN

DIN (Decentralized Infrastructure Network), initially devised by Infura with partners like Microsoft, Chainstack, and Tencent Cloud, is an initiative spanning numerous reliable RPC providers with impeccable track records, such as Everstake. Together, the partners ensure that RPC traffic is dynamically routed to different nodes in the case of outages or peak loads to ensure that the service suffers no interruptions.

What Is Scroll

Scroll is a zkEVM-based L2 network on Ethereum. It offers enhanced scalability and cost-efficiency for developers without sacrificing compatibility. Scroll enables developers to deploy dApps seamlessly on Ethereum, leveraging zero-knowledge rollups to reduce transaction costs and increase throughput without compromising on security. In Scroll, transactions are processed off-chain, and their results are posted back to the Ethereum mainnet through the zk rollups mechanism.

What Is Infura

Infura is one of the key infrastructure providers in the Web3 realm, boasting reliable APIs that power numerous applications in the broader Ethereum ecosystem. A core product of Consensus, it particularly facilitates smart contract deployment and blockchain data querying, among other things, which greatly simplifies the development of decentralized applications. DIN is one of Infura's initiatives that garnered massive support in the provider community and beyond, receiving over 4,000 applications in only a few weeks after the start of Infura’s early access program.

DIN, as an initiative, is expanding to blockchains other than Ethereum and Polygon, with the team’s pronounced goal being to ensure true decentralization and utmost accessibility of Web3, even in adverse technological conditions. Everstake is happy and proud to be a part of this exciting process.

The joint efforts of DIN partners (including Everstake), Scroll, and Infura will undoubtedly power up the capabilities of Ethereum and beyond, making it more accessible and lucrative to broader audiences and dApp developers alike.
