Everstake is proud to join Treehouse as a panelist for Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR), contributing to the development of the Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR). As a validator deeply invested in the future of staking, we bring our expertise to ensure Ethereum’s staking yields are benchmarked with accuracy, transparency, and verifiable on-chain data. This partnership is a step toward making DeFi’s fixed-income market more accessible, reliable, and predictable for everyone.
What is Treehouse?
Treehouse is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol focused on building a transparent and reliable fixed-income market for digital assets. It introduces tETH, a liquid staking token that converges the fragmented on-chain Ethereum interest rates while keeping assets flexible for DeFi use.
Treehouse’s tETH also powers Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR)—a consensus-driven mechanism that establishes transparent, on-chain benchmark rates.
What is DOR and Why Does It Matter?
Traditional finance relies on benchmark rates like LIBOR and SOFR to price loans, derivatives, and financial instruments. However, these centralized systems have faced challenges, including manipulation and inefficiencies.
Treehouse addresses these issues with Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR)—a transparent, blockchain-native benchmark-setting mechanism powered by verified panelists. DOR ensures fair and data-driven interest rate determination for on-chain financial markets, providing a decentralized alternative to traditional benchmarks.
As a DOR panelist, Everstake is responsible for submitting real-time, market-reflective interest rate data. This data is aggregated alongside other panelists’ inputs to form a consensus-based, tamper-resistant benchmark for Ethereum staking.
TESR: A Reliable Benchmark for Ethereum Staking
The Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR) is a decentralized, transparent metric representing the yield accrued by Ethereum validators. It provides an annualized rate derived from all finalized Ethereum blocks over a daily observation period, ensuring a data-driven, on-chain interest rate reference.
TESR is designed to:
- Reflect true Ethereum staking yields without external manipulation.
- Enable financial innovation, such as Staking Rate Derivatives and Fixed Income Products.
- Bring clarity to DeFi yield markets by providing a standard reference rate.
Everstake’s Role
As a leading staking and blockchain infrastructure provider, Everstake operates across 85 blockchain networks on mainnet, serving 755,000+ delegators with institutional-grade staking services. Our globally distributed validator infrastructure and expertise in Proof-of-Stake mechanics make us a valuable contributor to the DOR panel.
We contribute data and help shape a fair and decentralized benchmark for Ethereum staking. Our mission aligns with Treehouse’s vision of establishing robust, trustless benchmarks that support the growth of fixed-income products in DeFi.
Looking Ahead
We are proud to play a key role in shaping the future of decentralized finance. This partnership aims to help set transparent and reliable Ethereum staking benchmarks, enabling the next generation of fixed-income and staking-based financial products.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue pushing decentralized finance’s boundaries!
