2024 for Everstake: Milestones, Achievements, and Some Happy Memories

The year 2024 at Everstake was quite bountiful in events, developments, and exciting new partnerships. For all of us here, it was an important stepping stone to achieving our goal: bringing about the world of Web3. 

Now, as we’ve stepped into 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on what made last year special. A mere text cannot possibly convey the abundance of experiences that our team had last year—ranging from the launch of a new product, always full of last-minute tweaks and nerve-wracking anticipation, to the inspiring meetups with like-minded colleagues and friends at conferences scattered throughout the world—it still can provide an insight into what this year meant for us all. 

After all, we got many results we can be truly proud of. But let’s start with something a bit more personal.

Our Top 3 Moments in 2024

A top moment could be anything—anything at all—something that is hard to forget, something that surprised us, something that inspired us. We asked many of our colleagues to share their “top moments,” so here are the ones that came up more often than the others.

Top Moment #3

Everstake celebrated its 6th anniversary this year, and we launched a little campaign to celebrate it. Having put 1k USDT in a wallet, we ran a quiz where the answers to the questions were the words in the wallet’s seed phrase. We never intended to make it too difficult as, of course, we wanted someone to win the prize. Still, we were utterly surprised that someone managed to get all the right answers and safely withdraw the money in just an hour.

Top Moment #2

In early March, we were among the first to report that four submarine cables in the Red Sea had been cut. Since this could greatly affect global traffic, especially the validators in Asia, as 80% of its westbound traffic goes through those cables, we promptly informed the broader community. This alerted enough players on the validation scene, and the incident was soon mitigated so that the services did not suffer much disruption.

Top Moment #1

In the early days of 2024, one of our ETH validators working for Lido Finance stakers got the 15th biggest MEV in history, 279 ETH. Our validators got lucky a few times more later this year, but they got nothing on this exciting result.

Final Thoughts

As 2024 has officially come to a close, and we find ourselves well into 2025, we look forward to the year ahead. With the long-awaited bull rally in full swing and lots of amazing new ideas and projects already in the works—not only here at Everstake but in many other Web3 companies around the globe—the next year is going to be packed with a plethora of inspiring and amazing developments. There is very much to anticipate eagerly. And so we do.

But what will stay the same is our sincere commitment to the ideals of Web3 and decentralization, as well as our determination to remain resilient and responsible—someone our stakers and partners can always rely upon.
