Everstake Selected as an Independent Staking Node Operator on the Sui Network

As the Sui network prepares for its Mainnet launch, we are excited to announce that Everstake was selected to participate in Wave 1 of Sui Testnet. This testing phase lets operators test and prove network functions with the goal of establishing a resilient environment for decentralized applications.

This announcement follows a rigorous selection process that covers geographic diversity, infrastructure, community leadership and engagement, cloud capabilities, and level of experience. Operators that excel in these areas and pass KYC are permitted to launch a Sui node on the testnet. As a node operator on Sui Testnet, Everstake will help prove and refine  the network’s operational capabilities, transaction verification, and resource usage. 

The Sui blockchain, developed by Mysten Labs, is currently in its Incentivized Testnet phase that will gradually evolve from a multi-entity Sui network to a decentralized mainnet run by a set of independent validators. Sui validators contribute to the Sui blockchain network through handling requests sent by clients.
