Everstake Stakers Can Access Upfront SOL Based on Future Solana Rewards
Everstake’s integration with Speedstake by Pye lets SOL stakers access SOL upfront based on future staking rewards. The staked balance stays delegated to Everstake, settles on-chain, and remains redeemable 1:1 at maturity.

TL;DR:
- Everstake has integrated with Speedstake by Pye, letting SOL stakers access upfront SOL based on expected future staking rewards.
- The staked balance remains delegated to Everstake and is redeemable 1:1 at maturity. The process takes under a minute, settles on-chain, and is non-custodial.
- Stakers now have a way to access future rewards without unstaking. Through the integration with Pye, it is now possible to sell the rewards your stake would accrue over a chosen lockup period and receive SOL today.
- This builds on the partnership Everstake announced in March 2026.
Users Can Access Staking Rewards Now Instead of Waiting
Staking rewards normally accumulate slowly, epoch by epoch, and stay locked until they accrue. Speedstake challenges that:
- Speedstake lets users receive their future staking reward stream as SOL now.
- The underlying staked position remains delegated and untouched.
- There is no unstaking and no multi-day wind-down period.
How the Programmable Stake Account Works
Speedstake runs on Pye’s Programmable Stake Account (PSA), a new primitive native to Solana. When users lock a position, the PSA splits it into two SPL tokens.
Each token serves a separate purpose, and both settle on-chain:
- Principal Token (PT): a tokenized receipt of your staked SOL, redeemable 1:1 at maturity.
- Reward Token (RT): the rewards your stake will accrue across the chosen lock period.
The RT is sold on the Pye on-chain orderbook, which spans hundreds of validator markets. It fills against buyers at a market-priced discount, currently around 16% to 18% annually.
Longer lock durations let users access a larger portion of SOL upfront, based on the expected future rewards. Available durations are fixed quarterly maturities, up to 9 months in advance.
Speedstake Use Cases
A staker might use Speedstake for different goals, depending on their position and needs. The three common cases are:
- Accessing assets sooner: users may receive SOL now rather than waiting epochs for staking rewards to accrue.
- Managing SOL exposure: users may convert future rewards to SOL today then use it in DeFi strategies.
- Reallocating: users may put SOL in DeFi, while the stake remains delegated.
How to Use Speedstake With Everstake
The process takes under one minute and keeps users in custody of their assets the entire time. Follow these steps:
- Go to stake with Everstake on Pye and connect your wallet.

- Speedstake detects your existing stake with Everstake automatically.
- Choose a quarterly lock duration, up to 9 months in advance.
- Sign a single transaction and receive your SOL.
Your staked balance stays delegated to Everstake for the full lock period. Neither Pye nor Everstake can access your stake at any point.
What you sell is the reward stream, not the staked SOL itself. When the duration ends, your full staked balance is yours to withdraw, restake, or redirect.
What Speedstake Costs
The fee structure is disclosed upfront with one charge. Pye charges a 0.50% protocol fee on the SOL proceeds at the time of transaction.
There are no ongoing or hidden fees beyond that single 0.50% charge.
What Happens If You Need SOL Early
Principal Tokens remain tradable if your plans change before maturity. Users can sell their Principal Token on the Pye orderbook by submitting a request at the going market price.
This gives users an exit option without breaking the underlying delegation with Everstake.
What This Means for Everstake
For Everstake, this partnership adds another source of staking activity and keeps delegations in place. Stake that might otherwise leave during a liquidity crunch stays delegated, while stakers gain flexibility they did not have before.
Speedstake is the first product of its kind on a proof-of-stake network. As a core validator partner, Everstake is helping shape these tools to meet its standards for security and reliability.
Everstake operates with 99.98% uptime and has supported $7 billion in total staked assets historically across 130+ networks. The infrastructure is backed by SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, and NIST CSF certifications.
What Stakers Should Know
Speedstake is a Pye beta product that works on top of the user’s existing delegation and touches nothing underneath. Please read the full reasoning behind this partnership in the Everstake and Pye Finance partnership announcement.
