Information plays a key role in our society, providing important insights related to the current situation and the past. Blockchain ecosystems have been designed to store large amounts of data that simply can’t be modified in any way due to consensus algorithms. With the release of TezTracker blockchain explorer, the Tezos community has gained a possibility to have constant access to data stored on the Tezos blockchain in an easy and digestible shape. In this short read, we’ll describe TezTracker’s main functionality that Everstake has implemented.

TezTracker Description

TezTracker allows getting a variety of different information, for example, related to blocks — their block ID, timestamps, Bakers, Priority, Volume, Fees, number of endorsements, etc. We also provide such information as Future and Past baking rights. Explorer displays all transaction history and detailed information related to Endorsements, Delegations, Originations, Activations, Double-Baking and Double Endorsements. Teztracker is also available in English, Chinese and Russian.

Blocks

Turning to the ‘Blocks’ section allows users to get access to the whole history of validated blocks, and also information about the baker has produced and/or endorsed a particular block. We also provide information on the volume of transactions that have been confirmed within each block.

Data related to the volume of transactions can be used by independent teams to analyze the health and economy of the network, and moreover, it can be used to create different graphs and models. Each block shown in the list has a certain number of endorsements received from bakers.

Furthermore, in this section users can find information on network snapshots and baking rights.

Operations

TezTracker allows collecting almost all possible network data, and in the ‘Operations’ section, you can find comprehensive information on transactions, endorsements, delegations, activations. double backing and double endorsements.

‘Transactions’ section may be very interesting for an ordinary user because it can easily help to find any network transaction and all underlying details.

Bakers

In the ‘Bakers’ section users can find information about any active baker on the network which validates blocks. TezTracker service actively monitors such baker parameters as baker’s fees, staking capacity, current deposits and rewards, number of endorsements, produced blocks, and much more. All this information can help you choose a baker of your liking.

There are 2 things on the publi baker page that we think our users will find quite useful: Baking/Endorsing history and Rewards records.

Using the tab ‘Baking’ you сan check past and future baking and endorsement records. The tables show amount of blocks/endorsements, average priority for baking, rewards and the amount of misses and steals.

The tab ‘Rewards’ on the baker page provides a breakdown of the baker rewards and losses along with the number of delegators they have. Soon we’ll extend this table and add the delegator addresses and XTZ amounts that participate in staking for each individual cycle.

Accounts and Contracts

This section presents a simple tool that helps users to find different addresses and all underlying information. For example, such information may be a balance, transaction history, last activity, presence or absence of a delegate, date of account creation, and so on.

After the last update our team has added an additional section ‘Top Accounts’, where users can easily keep track of the biggest accounts on the network. Mostly, everyone can find basic financial information related to balances, money movements, delegations and originations.

Governance

This section provides detailed information on all protocol updates that have ever been carried out on the network. Moreover, it shows the voting process in real-time, allowing everyone to see the voting amounts and voting preferences. Also, TezTracker is capable of providing information on network entities who voted or not voted at all in certain periods.

Charts

Especially for users who want to know more information about the network state and its operations, we have made a few upgrades on our ‘Charts’ section that allows getting important data related to general activities, as well as baking.

In the ‘General’ section you will find useful data about transaction volumes, number of network operations, number of produced blocks, fees per day, average block delay, top accounts, and other.

On top of that, we have added a very useful ‘Baking’ section, where everyone can see detailed Rolls Distributions across different bakers, Priorities per cycle page, and also in the last update we have added the Bakers per Day charts, that helps to understand how many bakers were active on a particular date.
