Delegating step-by-step
How to earn EOS
EOS supports staking using special proxies, but not every user can run them. This requires an impressive amount of investment and technical knowledge. But there is an alternative: you can vote for Block Producer or for a proxy along with staking EOS tokens, in order to receive rewards.

About EOS
EOS (Enterprise Operating System) is a decentralized blockchain platform that aims to provide developers with an environment to build decentralized applications (dApps). The main concept behind EOS is to provide a highly scalable and flexible infrastructure for the development of decentralized applications. EOS uses a delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, which enables fast transaction processing and high throughput.
Some of the EOS specifications include:
- Unique token distribution model where users can stake their tokens to access network resources such as bandwidth, CPU, and RAM;
- Block time of 0.5 seconds;
- 126 blocks per epoch on average;
- Highly scalable and can process thousands of transactions per second;
- Provides developers with a smart contract platform that supports a wide range of programming languages, including C++, Python, and JavaScript;
- Designed to be interoperable with other blockchain platforms, enabling developers to build cross-chain applications.
Ecosystem
The ecosystem is built on the foundation of the EOS mainnet and is supported by a range of tools, resources, and services that enable developers to build, test, and deploy their dApps quickly and easily. The EOS community is known for its collaborative and inclusive nature, with developers and users working together to create innovative solutions and applications. The ecosystem is home to a wide range of dApps, including social media platforms, gaming platforms, and decentralized exchanges. The diversity of applications built on the EOS platform demonstrates its versatility and potential for driving innovation and disrupting traditional industries.
EOS Tokenomics
The EOS token is the native cryptocurrency of the EOS blockchain and plays a critical role in the platform's tokenomics. It is used for resource allocation, voting for block producers, and participating in the governance of the platform.
Another critical aspect of EOS tokenomics is the voting system. EOS token holders can vote for block producers who are responsible for processing transactions and maintaining the network. The top 21 block producers are elected by token holders based on the number of votes they receive. This system incentivizes transparency, accountability, and competition among block producers, which helps ensure the security and stability of the platform.
Overall, EOS tokenomics is designed to incentivize long-term token holding, promote transparency and accountability among block producers, and encourage community participation in the governance of the platform. These features contribute to the overall stability and success of the EOS blockchain ecosystem.
The role of Everstake in the EOS Ecosystem
Everstake strives to build an ecosystem that is community-driven and reflects all necessities of EOS users. Our diverse and experienced team allows us to focus on building our own blockchain applications.
The mission of Everstake is to create a compliant and decentralized financial system that benefits all its participants. As part of our strategy, we support open-source blockchain initiatives and share our expertise with the blockchain community.
The future decentralized financial system needs arbitrage. That is why we believe in the approach that the EOS team sticks to facilitate the development of the EOS ecosystem, Everstake has become the EOS Block Producer and shares its expertise along with resources with the global community.
At Everstake, we believe in the technology behind EOS. That is why we commit our resources to its development and mass adoption. As a Block Producer named atticlabeos, we run a complex infrastructure with nodes located worldwide. Our top-notch hardware and software allow us to be at the TOP 21 of the fastest EOS Block Producers.
As a Block Producer, Everstake (atticlabeos):
- performs technical tasks (creates and validates blocks, hosts full seed node and backup servers)
- bears governance responsibilities (manages buggy accounts, take-down notices of files, manages hard and soft forks)
You can support Everstake by voting for us through EOS Rate. This will help us to intensify our support of the EOS Ecosystem and add to the platform development.

+Voting concept
+Voting helps align interests among token holders, developers, and network operators, which paves the way for innovation. Vote to prioritize network security, encourage constructive participation, and promote transparency. Take into account candidates’ contributions to the EOS Public Blockchain ecosystem, as well as their participation in and support for community programs, initiatives, and contributions.
How to get returns on EOS? Staking and Voting
+Vote for our proxy.
Get more information about Everstake's BP - atticlabeos. Stake to be able to vote!
Staking
+What about the gas for staking? Is there a minimum amount to stake?
Since staking for CPU and RAM is inefficient now, use PowerUp to get free (or paid) resources to operate your account. However, keep in mind that the amount of EOS staked is also your voting power – stake more CPU to vote and get more returns.
You don’t need to stake much for NET. Stake as little as 0.1 EOS for NET since it’s enough for the further voting process.
How to unstake?
Once you have voted for BP or proxy to get rewards, you can unstake your tokens.
You can also use Anchor Wallet/Resources to manage your stake.
What is the unstaking period?
3 days.
Once the waiting period is over, click on Refund to claim back unstaked tokens and start moving them.
Do the staking rewards compound in EOS?
The rewards are distributed daily in the form of staked CPU to compound your staked earnings and refresh your vote in order to avoid the “vote decay".
Voting
+What is Voting all about?
All EOS account holders are kindly requested to vote for the ideal Block Producer candidates. You can vote for upto 30 Block Producers at a time.
How long is my vote valid for?
Your votes are valid for a long time. However, they do have a half-life of 365 days. This means after 90 days, the votes are worth 80% of their original weight.
How often can users vote?
EOS accounts will be able to vote as many times as they want, every time an account changes its choices, the votes are allocated to the producers chosen.
What happens if I change my vote?
Every time you vote, the previous votes are overwritten with the new votes. This happens each time you vote, so new choices you make will overwrite the old ones.
Does voting cost me anything?
Voting for your favourite block producer candidates is absolutely free!
When will voting end?
There is no end date on voting. You can vote and change your vote as many times as you want. Votes will keep being accepted as long as the EOS network is available (forever).
Is Voting Secure?
As long as your Private key is safe. Do not use your private keys in places that you don't trust. We recommend not to use Private Keys on any website directly.
